Khaled Abol Naga / KALNAGA — also known as Kal Naga — is an actor, producer, and adapter across theater, film, TV, and music. Tanasi is the Greek translation of the Arabic name خالد (“Khaled”), and the name of the production and distribution label behind these releases.

Khaled Abol Naga starred as Nabil in Omar Bakry’s family drama, directed by Vincent Scott and produced by The Simon Studio, alongside Inji El Gammal and Roger Hendricks Simon. Set in rural Ohio, the play follows Ava, a Middle Eastern woman caring for her adoptive father, whose life is upended when an Egyptian stranger arrives at her door.

Soft launch — July 2025
TANASI Production launched with a live DJ set on Newtown Radio, Brooklyn, hosted by Farah Elattar of House of Us NYC. Khaled stepped behind the decks as his DJ persona Captain Dodi, in a set built entirely from unreleased material — every sound crafted from scratch, layered with AI, and grounded in personal memory.
The broadcast recording is no longer publicly available. Current and future sets are posted to the KALNAGA SoundCloud.
What We Are Exploring
Tanasi.club is actively exploring blockchain and NFT frameworks as a future channel for distributing digital music directly to listeners — giving artists clearer ownership, transparent royalties, and a direct line to the people who actually listen.
This is research, not a product. Nothing is for sale yet. When it is ready, it will be announced here first.
AI & Human Authorship
Tanasi.club was built on the belief that new tools are worth using openly. We work with AI in our process — sound design, arrangement sketches, rapid iteration — and we do not hide it. What we do not do is hand over authorship.
Every release under this label begins and ends with a person: the writing, the language and dialect, the melodic and rhythmic decisions, the vocal direction, the mix, and the final call on whether a track is good enough to release. AI is in the room. It is not the artist.
Our commitments
- Disclosure. Where AI played a meaningful role in a recording, we say so.
- Human authorship. Lyrics, composition, and creative direction are written and decided by people.
- No impersonation. We do not use AI to clone identifiable voices or pass off another artist’s likeness or style as our own.
- Rights respected. We do not release material built on audio we do not have the right to use.
We are not interested in policing how other artists work. The line we hold is for our own catalogue: if there is no human authorship behind it, it is not a Tanasi release.
